Referrals may be changed although there are some restrictions depending on your Office access and if the Referral is forwarded to other offices.
To modify a Referral
- Open the Log containing the Referral to be changed.
- Click on the Referral to be modified. CLIFF will display the Referral.
- Make the required changes. Some data fields will not be available to change for one or more of the following reasons:
- Sent By - this field can never be changed. It shows who created the Referral. Root level Referrals belong to the Log and have the same Sent By as the Office that created the Log.
- Sent To - if the Referral is forwarded you cannot change the Sent To office as it would invalidate the forwarded Referral.
- Sent- this field can never be changed. CLIFF date stamps Referrals the day they are created.
- State - CLIFF automatically sets this field. You cannot change it.
In addition, access to fields may also be restricted if you don't have authority to access the From Office, the To Office, or both.
