Throughout this user guide the description and examples of CLIFF's functionality is based on using CLIFF for tracking correspondence. As you become familiar with CLIFF you will quickly realize that CLIFF can track many things.

If you are new to CLIFF, we recommend that you begin with this Getting Started chapter to familiarize yourself with the CLIFF environment and concepts.

If you have used CLIFF before but are new to version 5 then you should review the What's new sections to see what has changed. As the CLIFF interface is completely new in version 5, it is also recommended that you review The CLIFF Interface so you may quickly become comfortable with the new interface. You may also wish to read or preview any other chapters which cover features that you frequently use.
