Log Exchange

When accepting external Referrals from another organization, or generating Logs from a Web form, you may define a default template to apply.

Select the appropriate Template from the drop-down lists.

Click the checkbox if Log Notes should be included when you send Referrals to other CLIFF organizations.

Enter the email address of the person to be notified when an exchange Log is received.

Events

CLIFF allows you to schedule reports and other events to run on a regular basis, for example run a report every Sunday night on overdue Referrals.

To Create an Event

  1. Choose Events from the Admin menu. A window with current events similar to the following will be displayed. Events high-lighted with red are OFF.

Information Tags

Information tags provide additional information about data elements in pop-up fields. See Table Maintenance for general help on maintaining the Information Tags. The following provides additional help specific to Information Tags.

NOTE: Information Tags for a field must be activated in the Application Preferences before becoming available in the Log form.

About this Help System

This Help system, is designed to provide instructions for using CLIFF. You may navigate through the system by clicking in the menu on the left, clicking on the path above, or searching for keywords using the search feature on the left.

    Office

    Offices are the primary organizational component in CLIFF and are used to establish ownership of Logs; and create Referrals. For more information about offices see Configuring Offices. See Table Maintenance for general help on maintaining Offices. The following provides additional help specific to Offices.

    The following is office form for adding and changing office attributes. Note that an office cannot be deleted if it has been assigned to a Log or Referral.

    Overdue Referrals Sent

    You may find it necessary to remind people that they have outstanding Referrals due. Using e-mail is a convenient and easy way of reminding them. With CLIFF’s e-mail option, you can send e-mail reports of Referrals Sent to individual offices.

    Logs and Referrals

    Search for Logs & Referrals allows you to build searches based on data fields in Logs and Referrals and return the result as Logs, or Referrals. You may build complicated searches using Boolean operators.

    To Build Search Criteria

    1. Click on the Logs & Referrals search button in the Toolbar.

    This predefined search is available from the Logs Entered button on the Toolbar and searches for all Logs as follows:

    • Log entered by your current Office.
    • Log is not closed (Closed Date is 00/00/00).
    • The Log does not contain incomplete Referrals that require action (Referral Due Date is not 00/00/00).
    • Batch Members and Batch Headers are included.
    • Overdue for this Office

      This predefined search is available from the Logs Entered button on the Toolbar and searches for all Logs as follows:

      • Log entered by your current Office.
      • Log Due Date is before today.
      • Log is not closed (Closed Date is 00/00/00).
      • Batch Members and Batch Headers are included.

        • Log entered by your current Office.
        • Received date is in your Active Period.
