If you frequently find yourself sending emails to the same users, you can simplify your work by creating Email Distribution lists.

To create an Email Distribution List

1. Choose Emal Distribution Lists in the Table Maintenance Menu. The following window is displayed.
   

   

2. Click Add to create a new distribution list. The following window is displayed.
   

   

CLIFF is not intended to be an email program but there are times you may wish to send emails without Log or Referral information. For example, send an email to other CLIFF users.

To create an E-mail

1. Click the button (beside the User Prefs button) in the User Tool Bar at the top. The following window will be displayed:
   

   

Version 5.3 of CLIFF provides a number of new features, enhancements to existing functions, and bug fixes. The highlights of the new version are as follows:

New Features

• Enhanced customization of Log and Referral fields. Previous versions of CLIFF allowed customization of some data fields, for example mandatory fields and locked fields. In version 5.3 this has been expanded to include almost all fields. You may now set the label, keyword indexing, mandatory fields, sort labels, popup support, info tags, and more. See Log Field Configuration for more information.
• Mandatory fields when Log is closed. In addition to mandatory fields when a Log is created, you may now also specify mandatory fields when the Log is closed. See Log Field Configuration for more information.
• Visual indicator when you are not working in your default Office. See User Prefs for more information.
• You can turn off automatic info notices. See User Prefs for more information.
  

Each data field in the Referral has a number of attributes associated with it that you may customize to suit your implementation of CLIFF.

Each data field in the Log has a number of attributes associated with it that you may customize to suit your implementation of CLIFF. The attributes that you may change are:

• Keyword Index - When a Log is saved, CLIFF creates a keyword index for the Log from the selected fields.
• Address Label - For some reports (i.e.Referral Slip), CLIFF automatically builds an address label from the selected fields.
• Mandatory - Selected fields must contain an entry when the Log is saved.
